Volkswagen of America has recorded sales of 27,377 vehicles delivered to customers during the month of June 2017, which represents a 15% rise over the sales of 23,809 units done in June last year. With 161,238 vehicles that have been delivered year-to-date this year, Volkswagen US is reporting an increase of a little over 8% in its year-over-year sales figures. June 2017 also happens to be the first full month of sales for the entirely new Volkswagen Atlas SUV that is manufactured at the Chattanooga production facility in Tennessee. The plant is also gearing up to roll out the company’s all new Tiguan SUV in the coming months.
